Highly customizable, asymmetrical bevel permits lenses to be perfectly fitted into various eyewires. Mini beveling is also available with a single touch of the button. With step beveling, Rx lenses can be easily inserted into sunglass frames, which are traditionally difficult to fit. The partial step processing grinds Rx lenses for specialty-type sport frames. Maximum lens size: ø67 mm (type PLB-8S), ø72 mm (type PLB-2R8S). Bespoke lens shapes can be designed creatively by utilizing the drill bit as a milling tool. The 3D grooving processes lens with pin-point accuracy resulting in highly attractive lens periphery regardless of lens shape, curve, and thickness. NIDEK’s unique front and rear independent grinding function offers a high-curve bevel with flawless results. The position and height of the bevel can also be manually controlled.
Customized shapes are easily created with the advanced shape editor. A special “fixed area” function allows the operator to change a particular portion of the lens while maintaining other peripheral areas unchanged. The Me series allow easy operation with the 8.4-inch color touch panel, intelligible display design, and jog dial.

Add-on “side car” Lex Drill can be seamlessly placed next to the LEX-1200 and provides automatic drilling of various hole types. This drilling unit performs complex drilling jobs automatically with a single touch of the button. The Lex Drill has a compact body with a width of 145 mm and a depth of 477 mm. Its slim, compact shape makes it an easy fit for any lab size. The Lex Drill collects processing wastes in its dust bin which is easily emptied when it is full.

NIDEK EDGING STATION LE-800
The built-in intelligent blocker performs accurate blocking with simple operation. Exact alignment is available with the high-resolution color touch screen and the image magnification function. 3D tracing data can be easily obtained without even using the tracer by simply tracing the demo lens or pattern in the processing chamber. After lens shape measurement, the 3D images are displayed to simulate beveling/grooving. The data, such as groove/bevel position, can be easily edited.
Step-by-step processing of wizard mode assists lens edger beginner. “Next job” function allows operator to prepare next job during lens processing for more efficient workflow. The on-board tracer confidently handles even high-wrap frames. Controlled tracing pressure assures superb accuracy.
